The gap between crisis and stability is where too many people fall.
Emergency services save lives, but they rarely provide a place to land. Without safe housing and sustained support, people leaving crisis are at high risk of returning to instability, trauma, or homelessness. Soterra exists to close that gap.
What We Do
A safe place to stay with the support to move forward.
Soterra helps individuals rebuild and move forward with dignity through safe housing, wrap-around support, and a clear path to independence. Members live in secure, thoughtfully structured homes while accessing essential services, trusted community relationships, and individualized plans that support long-term stability. Through the partnership of donors and community organizations, we help create pathways to permanent housing, employment, and a connected, fulfilling life.
Our Process
How Soterra Works
As the Soterra community grows, its impact extends beyond individual members—helping reduce the number of people without safe housing while nurturing capable, thriving members of society. By planting roots and engaging in their communities, members contribute positively to the neighborhoods they join, creating stronger, more connected, and resilient communities for all.
Referral & Intake
Members are referred by trusted community partners. Through intentional, face-to-face conversations, we assess strengths, challenges, and goals to ensure the right fit for both the member and the home.
Stabilization
Members move into a Soterra home and begin individualized plans focused on long-term success. During this phase, we address essential needs, build trust, and provide consistent support for healing and growth. Once someone becomes a Soterra member, they remain part of our community for life.
Transition
With structured guidance and continued support, members move toward permanent housing and independence, gaining the skills and confidence needed for lasting stability.
